PeoplePerHour is a freelance and employment website where users who are offering freelance services can get hired by those who have jobs for them to do. It is an online venue or marketplace that connects workers or freelancers with the employers, individuals or organizations that can pay they for work or services rendered. Users can post jobs and wait for interested parties to indicate that they are interested in the job. Freelancers can also post their information in the hopes that an employer needed a related skill set will contact them and hire them to deliver services. Freelancers or those who are ready to work when hired can bid on advertised jobs. There are a variety of jobs posted on the application's website including programming and copywriting jobs.

The PeoplePerHour application was founded by Xenios Thrasyvoulou and Simos Kitiris in 2007. The pair both graduated from Cambridge University and created this application s a way to connect people needing work done with people who could delver such services. It is becoming increasingly popular and job seekers are beginning to user the site more frequently.

There are many employment and freelance websites. The PeoplePerHour application does provide a different layout that shows the top rated freelancers, recent job, featured jobs and completed jobs. Apart from the subtle or more pronounced design or layout changed, the PeoplePerHour is similar to other freelance sites but does emphasize work per hour.

The PeoplePerHour does look professionally designed and it is relative easy to find information or know where to go. Users can click on links on the main page or browse jobs.
